PHOENIX — Those craving tacos, enchiladas and burritos will have two more spots to get their fix in the Valley because Barrio Queen is adding two more locations to its portfolio.

They will open at Queen Creek Marketplace and Tempe Marketplace, marking the local chain's fourth and fifth locations in the Valley, according to a news release. Both locations are expected to open in the fall.

There are three other locations at Desert Ridge Marketing in North Phoenix, downtown Gilbert and Old Town Scottsdale.

The Tempe Marketplace restaurant will be built behind Thirsty Lion Gastropub on what is currently a vacant dirt lot. It will be 6,428 square feet and have indoor and outdoor dining, the release said.

The Queen Creek Marketplace restaurant will be slightly larger than Tempe at 6,460 square feet --- a whopping 58-square-foot difference -- and will be located across from Mountainside Fitness and BevMo.

Both locations will feature Barrio Queen's signature Day of the Dead-inspired design and artworks, a tequila bar and tequila room, bright colors, and garage-style door in the main dining room.
