PHOENIX — Chick-Fil-A is adding more spice to its menus.

The fast-food company announced Monday that it had begun testing three new spicy menu items at some of its restaurants in Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma.

Depending on how the test goes, the items could be rolled out to menus nationwide.

The items being tested are:

  • Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich: grilled chicken marinated in a spicy seasoning, Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and multigrain brioche bun. It is served with side of cilantro-lime sauce.
  • Spicy Chick-n- Strips Biscuit: Two spicy chicken strips seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers and served on a buttermilk biscuit. It is available on the breakfast menu.

The company is also testing its Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Bundle on its catering menu, which lets up to 10 people make their own spicy sandwich. It is served with cilantro-lime sauce and multigrain brioche buns.

The grilled spicy sandwich has been previously tested in Orlando, Florida; St. Louis, Missouri, and Knoxville, Tennessee, the company said.

Last year, the company began testing its Spicy Chick-n-Strips, and mac-and-cheese at some of its restaurants in the area.
