Christmas at the Princess: 4.5 million lights to see at Scottsdale resort

If you're looking for holiday lights, you may want to add theFairmont Scottsdale Princess's "Christmas at the Princess" to the list.

In its ninth year, the annual festival boasts more than 4.5 million lights, including a Christmas tree with 70,000 LED lights that have been choreographed to twinkle and change colors to 18 songs, and a lagoon featuring different lighted displays, including a pirate ship, a three-dimensional whale; and Nessie, a 30-foot Loch Ness monster.

Kids can make s'mores at "S'moresland" and warm up by the fire pits. There is a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and an ice slide that kids can slide down on a tube.

Santa is there for photos. Build-A-Bear has a mini-workshop there. And there is a 6,000-square-foot ice rink. Both Build-A-Bear and the ice rink have additional costs, not included with admission.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

  • Self-park/admission is $55, which includes up to six activity wristbands.
  • Valet parking/admission is $85, which includes up to six wristbands.
  • Individual wristbands are $25.
  • Those who eat at one of the resort's restaurants and spend $75 will receive up to six wristbands and complimentary valet parking.
