WHAT ARE THE SHOWS ABOUT?
OVO, which means "egg" in Portuguese, is described on Cirque's website as: teeming with life. Insects work, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy in motion. Their home is filled with biodiversity, beauty, action and moments of quiet emotion. The awestruck insects are intensely curious when a mysterious egg appears, representing the enigma and cycles of their lives.
It features acrobatics, foot juggling, balancing acts, high-wire acts, and trapeze.
AXEL is one of Cirque's newer shows and brings its circus-style performances to the ice. Here is how it is described on Cirque's website: See sparks fly as Axel falls for the captivating Lei. Together they jet off on a fast-moving quest through fantastic and colorful worlds to retrieve the stolen light from the mystical Vi. Will Axel find his voice and fulfill his destiny?
The show mixes ice skating, acrobatics, music, and projections.
