Cowboy Ciao, a staple of the Scottsdale restaurant scene, has closed after more than two decades in business.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post on Monday evening:
Unfortunately, an end of an era has come upon us. Tonight is the last night Cowboy Ciao will be open. Thank you to all for the wonderful memories and support over the years. We will miss you all. Raise a glass of whatever vino you are enjoying. Cheers to a wonderful run!!
The post did not specify a reason for the closure, but thanked everyone for the "wonderful memories and support over the years."
It was located in Old Town Scottsdale near Stetson Drive and Sixth Avenue.
The restaurant opened on Feb. 12, 1997, according to its website.
