Crayola is opening a kid-friendly crayon factory in Arizona.
The company announced Tuesday its plans to open a 20,000-square-foot Crayola Experience at Chandler Fashion Center mall near Chandler Blvd. and the Loop 101 in Chandler.
The attraction will be located on the west side of the mall near the food court in the old "Gap" retail space.
Kids will be able to write their names on crayons, star in their own coloring page, make spin-art from melted way, take pictures with crayon mascots, among other activities, according to a promotional video online.
It will also have "new experiences," but the company is keeping those plans tight-lipped.
There will also be a 4,000-square-foot Crayola Store filled with t-shirts, plush toys and other merchandise that will be open to the public.
It is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
Crayola Experience is in four other markets: Orlando, Florida; Bloomington, Minnesota; Plano, Texas; and Easton, Pennsylvania.
Admission for the Chandler location will be $14.99. Annual pass prices were not announced, but at the other locations they vary between $30-$35.
