PHOENIX — People have a chance to support some Valley restaurants this week, while also raising funds to help the animals at the Arizona Human Society.

On Thursday, Dec. 10, AHS will host its "Doggie Bag Dine Out," where some 40 restaurants in the Phoenix area will donate a portion of their proceeds on dine-in and takeout orders.

You can view a complete list, here.

Some of the local restaurants include Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila, Daily Dose Kitchen & Bar, Freak Brothers Pizza, The Vig, Gracie’s Tax Bar, Varsity Tavern, Local Jonny’s Tavern And Café, North Mountain Brewing Company, Uncle Bear's Brewery, and The Larde & The Delta.

There are some chain restaurants on the list as well.

Proceeds vary by restaurants and range between 10%-25%. Some have a special code for online orders and others require the event flyer be shown.

AHS said it costs an average of $1,000 for each animal that arrives at its shelter. Promotions like the Doggie Bag Dine Out help offset those costs.
