Update: The City of Mesa tweeted that the ice rink will now open at 6 p.m.
The ice rink in downtown Mesa will reopen Saturday night for skaters.
In a tweet, the city said the ice rink would be open from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. but would be closed on Sunday "so that more ice can be made to continue will [sic] season regular schedule on 11/27."

It was also closed on Friday night, the night of the city's tree lighting, because of the warm temperatures.
The Valley has seen warmer-than-average temperatures (even by Arizona standards) over the Thanksgiving weekend.
