PHOENIX — In the coming months, travelers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport's Terminal 4 will be able to sip cocktails, nosh on food, and surf the internet before their flights at two new American Express lounges. While access to the lounges are geared towards American Express' premium cardholders, day passes will be available to one of them.

The Escape Lounge and the Centurion Lounge will replace the Club at PHX lounge, which closed in April, according to Heather Lissner, a public information officer for the airport. The new lounges will be located in the Terminal 4 "B" Concourse where gates 15-28 are located, she said.

In its release announcing the lounges, American Express and MAG USA, an airport development, management and services company, said both lounges would span 9,500 square feet and would share one entrance, but would each have their own reception and lounge areas, and amenities.

American Express said the lounges would open in the "coming months."

Here is what we know about both and who can visit them.

THE ESCAPE LOUNGE

The Escape Lounge is open to American Express Platinum cardholders and the general public. Those with the Platinum card will receive complimentary access and can bring up to two guests with them. Those without the card can buy a day-pass for $45, plus tax.

Here is what it offers:

  • A chef-curated menu with hot and cold food
  • Access to Bose headphones to listen to 7,000 publications
  • Puzzles, coloring pages and crayons for kids
  • Wireless internet
  • Showers

THE CENTURION LOUNGE

The Centurion Lounge is the premiere of the two lounges available only to Platinum cardholders and American Express' invite-only Centurion members. The public cannot buy day-passes to the Centurion Lounge. Platinum cardholders can bring up to two guests with them. Centurion members can bring their immediate families or up to two guests into the lounge. Additional guests can be brought in for a $50 charge.

Here is what it offers:
