To some, July 11 might be known as a Tuesday this year or another date on the calendar.
However, for others, it is known as "free Slurpee day" from 7-Eleven.
The convenience store turns 90 years old in 2017. It is celebrating, as it has since 2002, with a day of free Slurpees (and brain freezes).
Participating 7-Eleven stores across the country will give away free small Slurpee drinks from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. local time, according to a media release. The newest flavor is cotton candy.
There are nearly 50 7-Eleven locations in the Valley, according to the company's online location map.
From July 12-18, anyone who purchases seven slurpees using the 7-Eleven app, will receive a coupon for 11 free Slurpees. The company is promoting it as "Slurpee Week."
