MESA, AZ — Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Easter weekend looks and feels drastically different. There are no crowded church services, family gatherings are happening via virtual video calls, and Easter egg hunts have been canceled.

However, not all has been canceled.

Golfland-Sunsplash has thought of a creative way to adapt to the times and keep the magic of the Easter Bunny alive for families all around the Valley, a drive-through Easter Basket giveaway.

Families can visit Golfland-Sunsplash's website and purchase a basket for $5 and select a pickup time. Each basket comes with a $5 gift card to Golfland's arcade that can be used on a future visit, as well as 10 pre-filled eggs with candy and small toys. Click here to register.

As of this writing, the available time slots were between 2 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. on Friday, April 10.

Marketing Director Tony Jones said in an email that all morning time slots have sold out and that they would be opening more time slots, potentially as late as 5 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will also be on-site to wave at everyone who stops by. Though, because of social distancing guidelines, people will not be able to get out of their vehicles to visit with the Easter Bunny.

Golfland-Sunsplash said its miniature golf course is currently open. Tee times can be reserved via its website.
