TALKING STICK ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT — For those wanting to test out the slides at Great Wolf Lodge without paying for an overnight stay, the Scottsdale-area resort announced Monday that it would begin offering half-day and day passes to its indoor water park.

Half-day passes start at $25 and day passes start at $30, the resort said, and are limited in availability each day, dependent on the number of rooms projected to be occupied.

According to Great Wolf Lodge's website, half-day passes are good from 4 p.m. until close, whereas the day pass is good from open to close.

Those three and older are required to have a pass. Toddlers two and younger do not need a pass when accompanied by an adult pass holder.

Passes can be bought at Great Wolf Lodge's website, www.greatwolf.com/arizona/daypass, or via phone, 800-905-9653.

Passes have to be bought at least one day in advance and cannot be bought at the resort, which is located near Loop 101 and Talking Stick Way, near Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the resort said.

Those who purchase a pass should bring their own towels because they will not be available at the water park, according to Great Wolf Lodge's website.

Life jackets will be provided on a first come, first served basis, though people can bring their own.
