Now you can have your cake and eat it too.
LGO Hospitality, the group behind La Grande Orange, Chelsea's Kitchen, Buck & Rider and Ingo's Tasty Food, has added a dessert concept to its lineup in Phoenix.
The "Cake Shop" opened its doors at the end of November in the shopping center near 40th Street and Campbell Avenue.
The menu features a variety of cakes, pies and cheesecakes such as Chelsea's Key Lime Pie, Peanut Butter Pie, Deep Dish Salted Caramel Pie and Chocolate Flourless Cake. There is also carrot cake, Red Velvet and a seasonal cheesecake.
Cakes are not new to LGO. They did have specialty cakes available by special order, but now by-the-slice cakes and desserts will be available every day. They will also do custom cakes for special events.
"We want to make it easy for our guest, a one stop shopping experience. It's a one of a kind idea and a great location!" said Josh Thompson, director of operations and partner of LGO Bake Shop, in a written statement.
