SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A new entertainment hub called Mavrix is coming to Scottsdale.

According to a press release, Mavrix will feature 24 bowling lanes, 85 arcade games, laser tag, pool tables, a 5,000 square foot restaurant and bar area as well as an outdoor patio with games.

Mavrix will be located next to Octane Raceway at the Pavilions at Talking Stick. Octane Entertainment, best known for Octane Raceway, is behind the new entertainment center.

Guests will be able to flow between the two venues and use shared arcade game cards at Octane and Mavrix.

“Talking Stick is booming with new development,” said Scott Sanders, CEO of Octane Raceway and owner of Octane Entertainment. “As a long standing tenant, it’s exciting to contribute to the growth by delivering Mavrix, which will be the premier family entertainment center in the area. Octane Entertainment has had its sights on expansion, and when the space next door to Octane Raceway became available, it was too good to pass up.”

The company says the Mavrix name comes from a rancher named Sam Maverick who made a name for himself by refusing to follow conventional trends and was “independently-minded.”

Mavrix is expected to open in late 2019. For more information, or to sign up for the newsletter, visit mavrix.com,
