Soon enough, the temperatures will break and the perfect patio weather Arizona is known for returns.
OpenTable on Wednesday released its annual list of the "100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America" as voted by its users.
This year's list "highlights restaurants that offer breath-taking views of nature, cityscapes and travel-worthy landmarks," OpenTable said.
Four Arizona restaurants made this year's listing:
- Elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain (Paradise Valley)
- Different Pointe of View at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort (Phoenix)
- Vivace Restaurant (Tucson)
- Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill(Sedona)
Elements and Mariposa are newcomers to this specific list, but the recognition should not come as a surprise.
Seated on the banks of Camelback Mountain, Elements provides up-close views of the mountain and sweeping views of Paradise Valley.
It is helmed by Valley chef Beau MacMillan, who has become a regular on Food Network appearing on "Iron Chef America," "Worst Cooks in America," and Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
In Sedona, the famous Red Rocks paint the backdrop to Chef Lisa Dahl's Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill.
The dining room features large windows that look out into the desert, while the mountains are the centerpiece of the patio.
Earlier this year, Mariposa made OpenTable's list of best "Al Fresco" (outdoor dining) restaurants, an accolade it also held in 2017.
Different Pointe of View, the signature restaurant at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, has made OpenTable's list quite a few times -- 2014, 2016, 2017 and, now, 2018. It sits within the Phoenix Mountain Preserve where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the desert and the Phoenix metro.
Vivace Restaurant, a higher-end Italian restaurant in Tucson, opened in 1993 and relocated near the Catalina Mountains a few years ago, according to the Arizona Daily Star. It has also made OpenTable's scenic list before, in 2016 and 2017.
