It has been a tough week for restaurants in the Valley.

AliceCooper'stown closed its doors in downtown Phoenix after nearly 20 years in business, while Mexican chain, Z'Tejas, closed three of its five Valley restaurants.

On Tuesday, Okra Cookhouse & Cocktails was the next restaurant to join the list.

"It is with a heavy heart we have decided to close Okra due to my move to California," said co-owner Maureen McGrath in a prepared statement released through its public relations agency.

The southwestern-style restaurant's last day of business was on Sunday.

Okra opened in 2015 at The Crown, a mixed-use development off Phoenix's 7th Street where a number of restaurants have opened in recent years. It was created by Cullen Campbell, Micah Olsen and McGrath.

Campbell and Olsen also opened Crudo.

"Cullen Campbell will continue to focus on Crudo in Phoenix. We’d like to thank everyone for all of the support during the past two years," the statement said.

Mora Italian, Casa Anejo, Stock and Stable and Honor Amongst Thieves are all new concepts that opened along 7th Street. The Herb Box recently closed at The Colony. That space will now become home to Riot Hospitality Group's second location of Farm + Craft, a health-conscious restaurant.
