Thanks to a Buzzfeed video, yesterday the world learned that Panda Express has turned its popular orange chicken bowl into something new -- a burrito!
Yes, you read that correctly. Panda Express is offering a burrito.
It starts with a tortilla, a base (ie: rice, chow mein) orange chicken, orange sauce, more orange sauce and a variety of toppings. Being completely honest, it looks like it is worth trying.
The next reasonable question is, "where can I get one?"
Here's the bad news. If you live anywhere other than California, you're out of luck. Or just booked your next vacation.
The Orange Chicken Burrito -- officially called the Orange Chicken Bing -- is only available at a select few Panda Express locations, specifically its "Innovation Kitchen" in Pasadena, California, as well as Monterey Park, Westwood and Hacienda Heights, a company spokesperson said.
Sorry Phoenix, no orange chicken burritos here! Although, it could be something to try and make at home.
So, Panda Express, if you're listening, we're interested in trying this burrito in Phoenix. Perhaps Phoenix would be a good market to bring one of those "Innovative Kitchens" to?
Panda did release a new menu item nationwide, however. It's called the Five Flavor Shrimp.
