A Valley magician is taking his act to Las Vegas to try and fool some of the best in the industry.
Chris Rose, who lives in Phoenix, will appear on the TV show, Penn & Teller: Fools Us, on Wednesday.
The premise of the show is simple: conduct a trick and see if Penn & Teller can figure out how it was done. If a magician succeeds in tricking the duo, the magician has an opportunity to perform with the legendary team at the Rio Hotel.

For the show, Rose said he worked with producers to combine two of his routines to create something new and specific for the show. He said he had to take his normal 12-minute routine and shorten it to five minutes.
"This could be career-changing," he said.
He flew to Las Vegas earlier this year to film the episode. He said the entire season of the show is filmed over a two-week period with magicians coming in from around the world to show off their skills.
"This is the Penn-and-Teller stage. Penn and teller are sitting right in front of you," Rose recalled. "When I was on stage and they were introducing me, I took a moment to scan the audience to look around and realize this was actually happening."
We asked, but he wasn't able to tell us whether or not he successfully fooled Penn & Teller. It will have to be something we watch for.
A viewing party is being hosted on Wednesday at Tutti Santi in Phoenix. The party starts at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. There will be complimentary appetizers and Rose will perform a few tricks.
