What's happening this week in Phoenix?
With the weather (finally) cooling down a little bit--no triple digits--it's actually really nice in the morning to get in a run or a hike on one of our beautiful mountains. South Mountain or Piestewa Peak have great trails for the casual hiker where as Camelback Mountain's Echo Canyon is great for those looking for a challenge. No matter where you hike, remember to bring with you extra water.
The Phoenix Suns will take on the Sacramento Kings in their preseason homeopener at the newly re-named Talking Stick Resort Arena (formerly U.S. Airways Center) in downtown Phoenix.
The Zac Brown Band brings its tour to Ak-Chin Pavilion this week. For families, Tempe's Movie Nights in the Park continue with Disney's animated hit, Big Hero 6 on Friday.
