SCOTTSDALE, AZ — There is something about summer that makes you want to enjoy a frozen, sugary ice pop.
While you cannot eat this one, a larger-than-life (and slightly melted) "rocket pop" has popped up within The Quad at Scottsdale Quarter for people to take pictures with.
Alison Goodman, marketing director for Scottsdale Quarter, said the red, white and blue sculpture is more than six feet tall. It was installed the week of Memorial Day and will be up through Labor Day, September 2, 2019, she said in an email to ABC15.
It was created by R & D Design, the same Phoenix company that made the heart sculptures that were installed at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona for Valentine's Day.
The Scottsdale Quarter is located at 15059 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, and across from Kierland Commons near Scottsdale Road and Kierland Blvd.
