Rubio's is redesigning some of its Valley locations.
The San Diego-based restaurant chain known for its fish taco is also updating its name to Rubio's Coastal Grill and logo to "reflect the brand's evolution...and represent its vast coastal cuisine menu," the company said in a media release.
The redesign includes added community seating, wooden tables, vibrant seating and a new color scheme more reflective of the coast and beach.
Locations in Gilbert, Tempe and Chandler will be among the first in the state to have the redesign. Those locations are expected to reopen throughout June.
The company began the redesign last year. So far, 70 locations have been renovated.
