Stingray Sushi closes at Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix

Stingray Sushi has apparently closed its last Arizona location.

"Stingray Sushi is now closed," read a note taped to the doors of its restaurant at Biltmore Fashion Park near Camelback Road and 24th Street.

"This comes with heavy heart [sic] after 14 years of serving sushi the time has come for us to swim off into the sunset!" the note read.

At one point, Stingray Sushi had restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale and Chandler, but both have since closed.

"We thank all of our patrons and employees for your support for such a long time," the note continued. "Decisions to close our doors are never an easy personal decision, but always a financial decision. We wish everyone all the best moving forward."

No official announcements on the closure had been made to Stingray's Facebook page or website as of Tuesday afternoon.

ABC15 reached out to Stingray Sushi, as well as to management at Biltmore Fashion Park, for comment and more information. We have not heard back.

Phone calls to the restaurant were received with a message indicating the mailbox was full.
