Tavern + Bowl and Good Bad Ugly Brewing Co. have closed at Westgate Entertainment District after defaulting on their lease, according to YAM Properties, who purchased the entertainment complex last month.
The Southern California-based bowling alley-restaurant concept opened its first out-of-state location at Westgate in April 2017. It was also the first location to include a microbrewery.
"Tenant changes are a normal part of business operations for any large retail location," said Dan Dahl, director of YAM Properties, in a statement. "While we can’t discuss specific tenant issues due to privacy concerns, we can confirm that Tavern+Bowl has been locked out of their location due to lease default."
He said the property will be actively looking for a new business to take over the space, but did not have anyone specific to announce.
The Facebook page for Tavern + Bowl's Westgate location was no longer up and running as of Friday afternoon. We have reached out to the company for comment and will update when we hear back.
In June, Bob Parsons, the founder of GoDaddy, purchased the 76-acre complex in Glendale through his real-estate company, YAM Properties, for $133 million in June.
