PHOENIX — Whether you need a last minute item, the turkey didn't quite thaw, someone forgot to bring a side, or you need a few more desserts for the table, several grocery stores in the Valley will be open on Thanksgiving Day (that's this Thursday, Nov. Nov. 28 by the way).
For whatever reason you find yourself at the store, here are the grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving and their hours:
Fry's Food Stores: Fry's grocery stores will open at their normal times and will close at 5 p.m. Find a store near you.
Sprouts: Stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Find a store near you.
Albertsons: Stores will open at 5 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Find a store near you.
Safeway: Stores will open at 5 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Find a store near you.
Bashas: Stores will open at their normal times and will close at 3 p.m. Find a store near you.
AJ's Fine Foods: Stores will open at 6 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. Find a store near you.
Food City: Stores will open at 6 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Find a store near you.
WinCo: Stores will open at their normal times and close at 3 p.m. (though they recommend arriving by 2:30 p.m. if you're in a hurry). Find a store near you.
Whole Foods: Phoenix-area stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. (The Tempe store will close at 4 p.m., according to the store's website). Find a store near you.
Target: Stores will not be open during the day; they will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and stay open until 1 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29. Find a store near you.
Walmart: Stores will be open at their normal open and close times. Hours may vary between stores, however. Find a store near you.
Not open on Thanksgiving: Costco, Sam's Club, Trader Joe's, and Natural Grocers.
