CHANDLER, AZ — Those craving something sweet have a new spot to try in downtown Chandler.

The Screamery, a Tucson-based ice cream shop, recently opened a second location in the Valley at Overstreet, a multi-use development on the southwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Blvd., in Chandler. They have another location within the Paradise Village Gateway Center near Shea and Tatum Blvds. in Phoenix.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., the ice cream shop will celebrate its grand opening with $1 ice cream cones.

Linda and Kenny Sarnoski founded the concept in 2014. They make their ice cream using premium milk and cream and all natural ingredients without chemicals, corn syrup, synthetic hormones, or pesticides.

They have 24 flavors, including two non-dairy: a fruit sorbet and the "Fudgesicle" flavor, which is made with almond milk, agave nectar, and two types of chocolate, according to an online menu.

In a recent interview with ABC15, the husband-and-wife duo said their most popular flavors were sweet cream honeycomb, cookies and cream, triple play (chocolate base, brownie bites, chocolate chips), and banana cream pie.

Those up for a challenge make want to check out "The Farmhouse Sundae Challenge." The Farmhouse Sundae has a cookie, brownie, and butter cake base; eight scoops of ice cream, sprinkles, whipped cream, three kinds of sauce, and some cherries on top.

The challenge is to finish it in five minutes (and hopefully without a brain freeze). Those that succeed will get a complimentary t-shirt and a photo of the "Farmhouse Wall of Fame."
