GLENDALE, AZ — The countdown is on! Yes, the Arizona Cardinals have the number one draft pick Thursday evening (and you can watch it all on ABC15) but we have a different countdown on our minds, the release of the much-anticipated film, Avengers: Endgame.
While the official release date is not until Friday, April 26, several theaters have been given the green light to show it a day early. Harkins, AMC, Flix Brewhouse, Alamo Drafthouse, Roadhouse Cinemas and Cinemark all have screenings starting this evening and going well into the night -- midnight, 1 a.m. and 2 p.m. at some theaters (tickets are still available).
The Valley's only drive-in theater is also jumping in on the action. West Wind Drive-In in Glendale will have a dozen screenings between 7:40 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. Thursday night, and 11 screenings on Friday and Saturday.
Advanced tickets are not being sold. It is first come, first served, said Pia Nepomuceno, director of marketing.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $1.75 for kids, ages 5-11, and $7.75 for everyone else. Kids five and younger are free.
