SCOTTSDALE, AZ — 4.2 million.
That is how many two-inch-by-two-inch sliders the White Castle in Scottsdale reportedly sold in its first year, the company said Thursday in a news release.
That breaks down to roughly 11,506 sliders every day.
The Ohio-based chain also said that the Scottsdale location, which is open 24 hours, sold 19,000 of its Crave Cases, which hold 30 sliders, and has become one of the company's top-performing locations.
White Castle opened on Wednesday, Oct, 23, 2019 near Loop 101 Freeway and Via De Ventura, part of the Salt River's Talking Stick Entertainment District, to massive fan-fare with people waiting in hours-long lines for weeks to be among its first customers.
“We had so many loyal fans in Arizona who were eagerly anticipating White Castle’s arrival, but the response this past year has been better than we could have anticipated,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, in a statement.
As for the potential of more locations in the state, White Castle has not announced any confirmed plans for more locations.
They did partner with Kitchen United Mix, a commercial "ghost kitchen" in Scottsdale, near Scottsdale Road and Shea Blvd., that serves a limited number of menu items from multiple restaurants.
So, technically, there are two locations to get White Castle in Scottsdale. View menu.
Other brands at Kitchen United Mix include PF Chang's, Boston Market, Island Logo, The Counter, Mr, Mesquite, Baja Fresh, Cold Stone Creamery, and a handful of other restaurants and cuisines.
