Linkin Park dedicated its American Music Award win on Sunday night to the late Chester Bennington.
"We want to dedicate this award to Chester, to his memory, to his talent," said bandmate Mike Shinoda while accepting the award for "Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock."

Bennington, who went to high school in the Valley and supported Banner Health's Cardon Children's Medical Center, took his own life in July.
The band held a memorial concert for Bennington last month in California.
