Medieval Times sets opening date for Scottsdale location

Update (Aug 1, 2019): Medieval Times had to push its opening back one day while awaiting "final permits" open. The first public show is scheduled for Aug. 2, 2019, at 7 p.m. What you need to know.

Medieval Times, a dinner theater which brings customers back to a time of lords, ladies, knights and jousting, will open next month.

The 80,000 square-foot castle near the Loop 101 and Via de Ventura near Scottsdale will open to the public August 1.

Tickets start around $35 for children and $45 for adults, with taxes, fees, and upgrades costing more.

The show runs for two hours and includes a four-course meal. According to an online schedule, shows run Wednesday through Sunday, with performances at 4, 4:30 or 7 p.m., depending on the day. Weekends will start with one performance per day before adding a second beginning August 17.
