If your kids are as tired of winter as we are, Michaels is holding several free craft events in March that will surely give them spring fever.

First up on March 8, Michaels will guide kids in making their own Stick Bees. These adorable bees appear to be made from paper, pipe cleaners, Popsicle sticks and googly eyes. The event takes place from 2-4 p.m. and is recommended for kids ages 3 and up.

The following day, March 9, you can take your kids right back to Michaels so they can add to their bug craft collection with a Pom Pom Caterpillar! This event is from 4-6 p.m. and is also recommended for kids ages 3 and up. Your kiddos will create caterpillars using four pom poms, pipe cleaner for the antennae and googly eyes.

And there’s yet another free craft the next day, March 10, from 4-6 p.m. Kids ages 3 and up will create a “stained glass” kite using tissue paper, construction paper and, of course, a string.

Supplies for all of these craft events will be provided at no cost.

If all of these events have you inspired, there’s another craft event for adults on March 7, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

For just the cost of a grapevine wreath, you can make your own spring wreath to hang on your front door. While the event listing doesn’t say which size wreath you’ll need, Michaels has an 18-inch wreath on their website for just $4.99 and a 24-inch wreath for $9.99. All other decorating supplies will be provided free of charge.

While there is no pre-registration information on the Michaels website for the free kids crafting events, it’s probably safest to get to the store a bit early to ensure your child gets a spot. The site also doesn’t mention whether you’re free to shop during the event or whether you need to stay with your children, so be aware that you may need to help them out with the craft.
