CHANDLER — "I just have a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle," explains Beth Krohmer, a physical education teacher at Casteel High School in the Chandler Unified School District.
And that's not the only she's passionate about! She's become a real champion for students with special needs.
"I just love the energy and excitement they bring to the class. They are authentic, genuine, and they love being here," Krohmer says.
Krohmer has done it all.
From coaching, motivating, and creating classes for these students so they can play alongside other kids, these are lessons that go way beyond the classroom.
"It is so awesome watching both students with and without special needs work together and seeing those relationships they start building.I don't do anything special," Krohmer says. "I just love these kids and they deserve every opportunity that their peers have. As their teacher and advocate, I'm going to do whatever I can to help that be possible."
And Beth Krohmer, that's why you're one of Nick's Heroes!
