"A clean trail is a happy trail!" explains Nicole Corey, who began Natural Restorations in 2015.

Since then, the group has helped clean up hundreds of parks, preserves, and recreational areas across the Valley and across the state.

"It's not a very glamorous job, but we love to be outdoors and we feel everyone should have the opportunity to experience nature without seeing trash and graffiti."

And Nicole isn't just helping clean up the environment, she's also helping veterans get back to work. Through grants, Natural Restorations is able to hire veterans to help with some of their clean-ups.

"She does the work of about eight people and then goes into the field with us and works and does restorations and works endlessly," explains Nicole's husband, Justin.
