PHOENIX — If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family, this weekend will be the time to check out the Arizona Animal Welfare League.
The shelter near 40th Street and Washington is at capacity, and donations from the Petco Foundation and Champman Auto have allowed the facility to waive adoption fees at its main campus.
The discount applies to all dog and cat adoptions from Friday through Sunday.
The deal does not apply to pets at AAWL's satellite locations.
All adoptable animals are fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered as appropriate.
The shelter is open from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and Sunday and 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
