CREATE Grand Opening Weekend: Get ready to be inspired Phoenix! Festivities include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of CREATE, demonstrations and activities throughout the day and much more! The CREATE team will show you the cool things you can do in the Resource Center including 3D printing, sewing and woodworking. 10am-4pm. Arizona Science Center, 600 E. Model Horse Show: Calling all model horse enthusiasts! Enjoy an exciting day of showing and displaying your model horses to the public. The model horse show starts at 9am and will end when all the horses have been shown.  Meet Kathleen Moody, Breyer Model Horse Sculpturer. Bring her sculptures to the show and she will be happy to sign them for you. The cost to enter the model horse show is $25 if you bring your own table; $35 if the toy store provides a table for you. Elephant Appreciation Day: Spend a day at the Phoenix Zoo learning about the world's largest land mammals: elephants. Enjoy keeper chats, photo opps to take "elfies", guests can make piñatas that will later be filled with treats and given to the elephants.
