Randy Phillips and his wife cried tears of joy after turning the key in the 2015 Ford F-150 from Sanderson Ford and hearing the engine start.
Phillips was one of 15 people entered in the Operation Santa Claus car giveaway. They gathered in the Sonoran Living studio Tuesday morning and were each given a key -- only one of those keys would start the vehicle.
Phillips was the winner.
“This is great. We needed a car for a long while. It’ll help my whole family out a lot,” he said.
Phillips works for the health district in Flagstaff and said he has donated to Operation Santa Claus for five or six years.

The 14th Operation Santa Claus was a huge success. You donated $1,003,226 this year.
Donations will go to this year’s charities, which are St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix, Inc.
