Arizona couple gets surprise blizzard on wedding day

PHOENIX – Brittany and Sean Tuohy planned a beautiful fall ceremony in Washington but were given a winter surprise when a blizzard arrived on their wedding day.

The unexpected weather may have taken the ceremony from outdoors to indoors due to heavy snow and strong winds, but the pictures and memories may just be worth it.

Jaime Denise shared the story on her photography business Facebook page. The ceremony took place on Saturday, September 28 at Bear Creek Lodge near Mount Spokane. Despite the storm outside, the wedding party agreed to an outdoor photoshoot and captured amazing images in a winter wonderland.

Denise says the group only braved the storm for about 10 minutes before the snow picked up and they were forced to go back inside. However, 10 minutes was all it took to capture the incredible moment.

“THANK YOU to Brittany & Sean for having the best attitude about the uncontrollable atmosphere. You made the chaos absolutely beautiful! Your love for each other warmed all of us,” Jaime Denise says of the couple on Facebook.

The Tuohy’s may not have gotten the fall scenery they were expected, but they did get away from that Arizona heat. Just maybe a bit further than they were expecting.
