Love was in the air when a couple got engaged at an animal rescue shelter over the weekend.
Known for taking care of elderly and special needs animals, Tranquility Trails had other tasks to fulfill. One of those tasks being to help facilitate the ultimate proposal for Nicole and Shane.
How did the proposal all go down? We’ll tell you exactly how.
Tranquility Trail regular, Nicole, came by the shelter for a regular nail trim appointment for her pet rabbit.
Little did she know that her now fiance, Shane, had something up his sleeve. Or quite literally at the bottom of a box of bunny treats.
The rescue sanctuary manager, Denise Legel, helped put together the proposal by creating a “Super cute bunny fortune cookie box.”
Going along with the plan Legel, asked Nicole when she walked in if she would like to pass out a box of treats to the bunnies.
Agreeing to the manager’s request, Nicole began to pass out treats to the bunnies in the shelter.
As she got to the bottom of the box, she found a fortune with a question that read, “Will you marry me?”
