PHOENIX – Every year, Phoenix New Times challenges you, the reader, to choose your favorite spots to eat, drink and play around town in their Readers’ Choice Poll, and every year for the last three years, Your Phoenix CW has brought the poll to life in our Best of Phoenix TV special.
The show airs tonight at 6 p.m. and to get you ready, we’re sharing the finalists in each category. These are the five finalists for Best Pizza:
Barro’s– a local family-owned business with over 40 restaurants in Arizona. The Barro family began making pizza in Italy and have since brought Grandma Angelina’s recipe and secret sauce to the Valley.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria– Its pizzas and calzones are cooked in a coal-burning oven, giving them their unique flavor and crisp crust! Plus, you got to try a cannoli.
Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen– This Arizona-based restaurant takes a unique approach to pizza with a health-centric menu that mixes Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican flavors into their salads, pasta and pizzas.
Red Devil– Big Joe and Little Joe turned their dream into a reality when they founded Red Devil. Today, their traditions, flavors and American dream are carried on to generations to come, thanks to you. Their menu has a variety of salads, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, and more!
Venezia’s New York Style Pizzeria– Known for the fresh ingredients, amazing gluten-free menu, and great prices, Venezia’s is serving up pizza the only way they know-how. Have you tried their pizza party challenge?
