There’s not much better than eating ice cream, but what if someone combined it with a warm donut into the mix?
That’s what the second annual Arizona Donut and Ice Cream Festival in Phoenix is here for.
“It’s a festival where you can discover all kinds of different kinds of varieties of donuts and ice creams,” said Arizona Donut and Ice Cream Festival, Jason Kwan.
“I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase our delicious treats,” said Scoop and Joy Lounge Owner, Christine Hovorka.
The Scoop and Joy Lounge in North Scottsdale is one of fifteen local businesses presenting uncommon sweet tooth desserts at the festival on Sunday, September 22nd.
“I made this event to be a platform for small businesses to kind of show their creativity and grow”, said Kwan.
The number one seller for the Scoop and Joy Lounge is the Cookie Dough Monster ice cream.
“We make an animal or just a smile on top of the ice cream to brighten your day. It makes us happy we love doing our surprises on top of the ice cream”, said Hovorka.
One shop has their own spin on a French pastry treat.
“The most unique items will be from Beignet Babes,” said Kwan.
These beignets are filled with an Asian flavor. Taste buds, start your engines.
“The creativity and diversity of businesses in Arizona and truly try to expand on what they think of what a donut or ice cream is and honestly just have fun in general just trying a little bit of everything from everyone”, said Kwan.
Arizona’s first donut and ice cream festival on September 22nd from 12pm-4pm! Located at The Pressroom in Downtown Phoenix.
