PHOENIX – It’s that time of year! It’s time to try your hand at winning a stuffed animal from a carnival game, find the greasiest funnel cake, see the coolest band perform live, or conquer your fear of heights on the Ferris Wheel.
The Arizona State Fair opens Friday, Oct. 4 and we have all the details on what you can expect from your visit to the fairgrounds this weekend.
Beginning Friday, fair guests can see performers such as Lee Brice, the Cult, Becky G., Trace Adkins, Billy Currington in concert, Polynesian dancers, jugglers, magicians, and more.
Ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults (14+)- $12
- Kids (5-13)- $8
- Seniors (55+)- $8
- Kids (4 and under)- FREE
There is also a deal to get into the fair almost every day.
- Every Day Deals – Play & Save Game at Circle K lets you get in the fair for 50% off, AZ Milk Producers has one free child admission if you buy a dairy product but must have the receipt
- Every Wednesday you can get free admission for bringing in canned goods. Also rides and games are $3
- Every Thursday is free admission but only from 12pm to 1pm!

Unlimited ride wristbands are available on select days for $35 on Thursdays and $45 on Sundays. Individual tickets cost $0.50 each with every ride requiring a different number of tickets per person.
The fair is open Wednesdays through Sundays and hours of operation varies each day. On Friday, the festivities will kick off at 12 p.m. and last until 10 p.m.
