Where to get the best ice cream treat in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Every year, Phoenix New Times challenges you, the reader, to choose your favorite spots to eat, drink and play around town in their Readers’ Choice Poll, and every year for the last three years, Your Phoenix CW has brought the poll to life in our Best of Phoenix TV special.

The show airs tonight at 6 p.m. and to get you ready, we’re sharing the finalists in each category.  These are the five finalists for Best Ice Cream:

Churn- Serving up all-natural ice cream that is made on-site! From cones, to milkshakes, to floats, they have it all. Located at 5223 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix.

Nami- This 100% vegan restaurant is serving up breakfast, pastries, coffee, and of course, lots of ice cream (or should we say “tSoynamis”). Located at 2014 N. Seventh Street in Phoenix.

Novel Ice Cream- Get your ice cream in a bowl, a cone, or maybe stuffed inside a warm donut bun. Novel Ice Cream is located at 1028 Grand Avenue, Cottage 6 in Phoenix.

Sweet Republic- Artisan ice cream made from scratch with local ingredients. Sweet Republic is located in Scottsdale and in Phoenix at 6054 N. 16th Street.

Unbaked- Serving up delicious ice cream as well as edible cookie dough. This can only mean one thing- cookie dough milkshakes and dough ice cream sandwiches!
