Walk in jobless, walk out with a start date.
The City of Phoenix is holding a career fair Thursday, August 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center. It's called Get Hired! and many applicants will interview on the spot -- some will even get an offer right away.

The city is looking for hundreds of qualified workers for positions in more than a dozen departments. Some of them pay six-figure salaries. Organizers recommend you come dressed to impress with several resumes. You are also asked to pre-register here.
