Car enthusiasts on the east coast may be tired at work on Friday.
That's because Tesla plans to roll out the much-anticipated Model 3 Thursday at its Los Angeles design studio at 8:30 p.m. PST.
That's 12:30 a.m. on the east coast.
According to a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity to Electrek, an insider website:
- It looks like a smaller hybrid of the Model X and S.
- It is a bit taller sedan with a unique front that looks more like a Model X than a Model S.
- The car is shorter and narrower than either the model X or S but is described as “sexy and sporty”.
Though the new electric car doesn't go on sale until late next year, hundreds lined up to reserve one for a $1,000 deposit.
Starting price for the Model 3 is $35,000 before federal and state government incentives. The car is predicted to have a range of at least 200 miles when fully charged.
