After reaching its highest attendance in the past decade last season, the Arizona Diamondbacks saw the number of fans showing up at Chase Field dip nearly 5% in 2019.
In all, the Diamondback had attendance of 2,135,510 during the 2019 season, or an average of 26,364 a game.
That was a 4.8% decrease over the team’s 2018 attendance of 2,242,695, or an average of 27,688 a game.
When fewer people come to games – besides the loss revenue from ticket sales – the team loses other incremental revenue on parking, merchandise and concessions.
