Arizona is filled with outposts of most major national fast-food chains, including California's beloved In-N-Out Burger.
But a homegrown slinger of sandwiches and frozen drinks takes the title for best fast food in the Grand Canyon State, according to Food & Wine.
That would be Eegee's, the wildly popular Tucson staple known for its grinders and frozen drinks of shaved ice featuring real fruit bits.
Those latter concoctions are the eponymous Eegees that have been the preferred way to beat the heat for generations of University of Arizona students and Tucson residents.
