Mesa Air’s stock nosedives as operational problems affect its airline partners

Shares of Mesa Air Group Inc. plunged following the release of its latest earnings, along with the impact of some operational problems during the quarter coming to light.

Mesa, which operates flights for both American Airlines and United Airlines, is facing problems with both clients as a result of maintenance issues.

Mesa’s shares closed on Monday at $5.84, down more than 40% from its Aug. 8 close, before Mesa released its fiscal year third quarter results.
