A Phoenix strip club that was the site of multiple shootings in 2020 must change ownership or lose its liquor license, the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control announced Thursday.

VLive’s owner, DE Entertainment LLC, must divest all ownership rights to the strip club’s liquor license by May 1 and pay a fine of $30,000, according to a consent agreement between the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control and club ownership. If club ownership defaults on either, the state will revoke the liquor license.

According to the announcement, VLive, a strip club at 3845 E. University Dr. in Phoenix was the site of a fatal shooting on June 20 and two other shootings on Sept. 11 and Sept. 27 in which several others sustained injuries.

VLive’s liquor license has been suspended since Oct. 2 after an investigation by Phoenix police and Department of Liquor officials. The suspension prohibited the club from selling or distributing spirits in any fashion.
