Two of the Valley's most recognizable restaurant companies are joining forces to raise funds for out-of-work employees affected by coronavirus closures.
Upward Projects and Fox Restaurant Concepts have started asking for donations from takeout customers to go toward their employees who cannot work at this time due to the mandatory statewide ban on in-restaurant dining from the COVID-19 crisis.
The companies are branding it #TakeOutForTeams and encouraging other restaurants to set up similar programs.
Between Upwards Projects (Postino WineCafe, Joyride Tacos) and FRC (Flower Child, Culinary Dropout, Zinburger), the two companies have a combined 40 restaurants statewide that will benefit from the initiatives.
