Snell & Wilmer is offering a free legal aid clinic to people who have questions about unemployment insurance, the CARES Act stimulus checks and the inability to pay rent on their housing.
“We are offering aid in three defined categories so we could help the largest amount of people possible,” said Kristine Gallardo, associate at Snell & Wilmer. “This is a brief encounter on a legal aid hotline for some quick assistance on very specific issues.”
So far, Gallardo said, most people calling have needed help with the Arizona Department of Economic Security on questions about unemployment.
Many have faced long hold times and other issues and need a third party to talk to.
