Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. appointed Scott Neal, a former Walmart Inc. senior vice president, to a newly created position in its C-Suite, the company announced Monday.
As Sprouts’ chief fresh merchandising officer, Neal will oversee the grocer’s fresh merchandise offerings and will report directly to CEO Jack Sinclair.
Neal is expected to start in his new capacity on June 15.
“Scott joins us at the perfect time to leverage his deep experience in fresh merchandising and sourcing as we begin to implement our long-term growth strategy by creating an advantaged fresh supply chain to bring better-for-you options and innovative products to support our customers’ healthy lifestyles,” Sinclair said in a statement.
